Organizing Director for CA-39

The California Democratic Party seeks an experienced community organizing director with a background in campaign field organizing. This candidate should be adept at developing and coordinating advocacy activities—from organizing coalition meetings, press and media relations, town halls (and other events); as well as recruiting and organizing a volunteer voter contact operation to support a district-wide voter registration canvass program.

Strong communication and motivational skills, work ethic, and passion for issue advocacy are essential. Candidates must be able to work within a progressive coalition team, have proven leadership ability, time management skills, and experience handling a lot of responsibilities. Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also necessary qualifications. The position would be based in CA-39, which includes parts of Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Bernardino County.

Voter Registration

The Democratic Party is seeking reliable, bilingual, part-time canvassers to help register voters ahead of the 2018 Midterm elections.


-Bilingual (fluent in Spanish) canvassers will be prioritized
-Applicants must be willing to work 25 hours a week
-Strong communication and customer service skills
-Applicants must be accountable, with an ability to work independently.
-Strong passion for progressive politics
-Must be willing to travel regularly throughout the Orange County area

Compensation: $15 per hour, 30 hours per week
Employment type: part-time.
