Who We Are
The Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) is the official organization representing more than half a million registered Democratic voters in Orange County, California.
Candidates, Officials and Party Leaders
In the 2018 Midterms, Orange County Democrats endorsed their largest slate in recent history and made national headlines for a sweeping “blue wave” of victories in Congressional, State, and local OC elections. In 2019, OC Democrats once again made national headlines for flipping the county’s voter registration from “red” to “blue.” In 2020, DPOC continued its sweep of Orange County down the ballot as well, flipping 20 local seats from red to blue. Democrats held or gained in every city council and school district they ran for, with more Democrats now serving on local school boards than Republicans or independents. In 2021, DPOC is focusing on increasing voter registration, capturing an open Board of Supervisors seat, and gearing up for the 2022 midterms.
What We Believe
Democrats believe in opportunity, freedom and justice for all. Find the California Democratic Party platform here, and the national Democratic National Committee issues platform here. Read our resolutions here.
Make a difference by joining a local Democratic Club to become an active voice shaping the Democratic Party. Democratic Clubs are booming across OC, and need more support. We’re forming clubs in new cities and regions, and organizing to conduct year-round grassroots field programs to register new voters and significantly increase voter turnout in every part of Orange County.
