Calling all Democrats: the California Democratic Party will be hosting elections for Assembly Delegates in January 2019.
Assembly Delegates, sometimes called AD Delegates, are elected every two years at Assembly District Election Meetings, or ADEMs for short, to represent Democrats in the assembly district where they live.
AD Delegates vote on behalf of the assembly district they represent at California Democratic Party Regional Meetings, the California Democratic Party state Convention, and those who are also elected to serve as an Executive Board member are responsible for voting and representing their community at the semi-annual E-Board meetings.
To vote in Assembly Delegate elections, you must be a registered Democratic Party voter. You vote at the assembly district election in the assembly district where you live. Elections will be held in January.
For more information, including looking up your assembly district, declaring your intent to run, or looking up your election location and dates, visit the California Democratic Party’s Assembly District Delegates elections page.
Please note that the Assembly District Delegate elections are for the California Democratic Party, and are NOT for membership to the Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) Central Committee. The next DPOC Central Committee elections will be held in 2020. Central Committee members are not eligible to run for Assembly District delegate positions.
