The Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) is the official organization representing more than 600,000 registered Democratic voters in Orange County, California.

Making History — Again and Again

Since the historic 2018 “Blue Wave” swept Orange County’s Congressional delegation, Orange County Democrats keep making history. The 2018 Midterms were history-making up and down the ballot: Orange County Democrats endorsed their largest slate in recent history, and won new ground in local elections. In 2019, OC Democrats once again made national headlines for flipping the county’s voter registration from “red” to “blue,” and now have more than a 4-point voter registration advantage. In 2020, OC Democrats flipped 20 local seats from red to blue, and won two state senate seats. In 2021, the victories continued — electing the first female Democrat to the Orange County Board of Supervisors in a special election in February, and defying the odds to vote down the California recall.
