At its September 27, 2021 Central Committee meeting, the Democratic Party of Orange County Central Committee adopted legislative positions on proposed policy issues regarding rent stabilization and tenants’ rights, and ending taxpayer incentives for fossil fuel production and spill cleanup.

The Central Committee approved a legislative position in support of the City of Santa Ana’s Community Preservation, Rent Stabilization and Tenants’ Rights Act (Read copy of letter sent to Santa Ana City Council here), and in support of HR 2102, the End Polluter Welfare Act of 2021, Co-Sponsored by Congressman Alan Lowenthal (CA-37). HR 2101 would eliminate the limits of liability for offshore oil drilling companies, stop tax breaks for oil spill remediation. Learn more about HR 2101 here.
