Vote Centers Open Tomorrow, February 22nd

California’s Presidential Primary election is officially on March 3rd, but this year, all voters can vote early. As of Wednesday, Republicans have turned in 16,000 more ballots than Democrats. Some of our elections could come down to a few votes.
You would not want the regret of forgetting to vote!

Make a plan: You can mail in your ballot (no stamp necessary), or visit one of Orange County’s new Vote Centers. They open starting tomorrow, February 22nd. Find helpful voter information and official endorsed Democratic candidates on our website.

New law makes it easier to participate in the Democratic Presidential Primary

Under a new law signed by Governor Gavin Newsom that goes into effect immediately and is in effect for the March 3rd Primary, voters can now change their party affiliation and vote same-day. If you are a No Party Preference (independent) voter, you can change your party to Democratic to make your voice heard in the Democratic Presidential Primary.

OC Registrar of Voters is Hiring
Orange County has a new way to vote! New Vote Centers will replace traditional polling places, and the OC Registrar is hiring Vote Center workers. If you are bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese, you are especially encouraged to apply. These are temporary positions that have an estimated duration of 1-2 weeks total, including paid training. Learn more here.

Schools and Communities First Act: Sign the Ballot Proposition

A corporate property tax loophole has allowed big businesses in California — like Chevron, McDonald’s, and Disney — to avoid paying their fair share, to the tune of $12 billion a year. The Schools and Communities First Act will close the corporate tax loophole, and end 40 years of disinvestment that has starved our schools and vital community services of funding. Learn more and sign the petition.
