Remembering Conrad Tuohey, an early champion of Democratic organizing in Orange County
Democrats honor the legacy of Conrad Tuohey, who passed away last month. Mr. Tuohey was a founder of Orange County Democrats in the 1960s, an organization that soon evolved into today’s Democratic Party of Orange County.
In addition to organizing meetings, raising funds, and distributing news, Mr. Tuohey penned articles including this archived selection from the Orange County Democrat newsletter. The Tuohey family has remained active for three generations, making it among the longest continuously-active families in OC Democratic politics. Read Mr. Tuohey’s obituary here.
