Central Committee Elections
Want to serve as a Central Committee Member for the Democratic Party of Orange County?
DPOC Central Committee members are elected every four years by registered Democratic voters. Elections are managed by the OC Registrar of Voters, so filing a campaign for Central Committee is very similar to filing a campaign for public office. DPOC Central Committee meetings are open to Democrats. We meet on the 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6 PM) at UA Local 562, 1916 W. Chapman Ave., in Orange.
California Democratic Party Call for Volunteers
The California Democratic Party (CADEM) seeks volunteers for the Executive Board Fall Convention in Long Beach this weekend, November 15-17. Volunteering is an excellent way to see what happens at the State level, and a good way to get started being more involved in the Party process!
CADEM is looking for over 500 volunteers to help with tasks ranging from assisting with events and receptions, to registration and credentialing. Positions are available for a variety of abilities and interests. Your volunteer credential will allow you access to all open events after you’ve served at least one shift.
Volunteer registration is filled on a first-come basis. Mandatory training will be provided for all volunteers — more details on that after you sign up. Note that hotel or parking accommodations at the Convention will be the responsibility of the volunteer.
